We want all guests to have a comfortable and enjoyable experience at Fiesta Noche del Rio, and we’re happy to share information about accessible seating and accommodations at our venue. Wheelchair & Companion SeatingIf you enter the Arneson River Theatre from La Villita (418 Villita St.), you’ll find a spacious, accessible seating area located at the top of the theater. This section is designed to accommodate:
Wheelchairs
Mobility devices
Companion seating for family or friends
This area provides an excellent view of the stage and is easily accessible without the need to navigate stairs. Riverwalk-Level SeatingPlease note that wheelchair seating is not available on the Riverwalk level, as access to those seats requires descending stairs. While this lower section offers proximity to the river, it does not meet ADA accessibility standards due to the theater's historic layout. Nearby AccessibilityIf you're exploring before or after the show, there are multiple ADA-accessible entry points to the River Walk, as well as to surrounding restaurants, shops, and river barge tours. City of San Antonio staff and local businesses are typically very helpful if you need assistance finding ramps or elevators nearby.
Is it open seating at the theater?
Yes! It is open seating and done on a first come first serve basis. We recommend arriving 20-30 minutes (8:00-8:10pm) before show time to get the best seats! Want to be part of the show? Try sitting in the first 4 rows. Want to enjoy from a far, try rows 5 and up. Who can sit in the boxes? As long as there is not a reserved sign, you are welcome to sit there!
