|
MacArthur High School, where she performed with Grupo Folklorico Magnifico under the direction of Teresa Reyna. Her work with this group afforded her the opportunity to compete at competitions such as Bailes de Mi Tierra and Festivals de México.
Today, Mía continues to deepen her passion for Flamenco through regular classes, workshops, and performance opportunities throughout San Antonio. Whether performing at a Flamenco Tablao or participating in Folklorico presentations during Fiesta, Mía embraces every chance to share her art. She also actively seeks out professional development by attending workshops as often as she can led by renowned artists such as Daniel Caballero, Pilar Andújar, and Isaac Tovar.
One of Mía’s most memorable dance experiences was performing as a backup dancer for Los Tigres del Norte during their *Siempre Contigo* tour, an experience she cherishes deeply.
Outside of her dance career, Mía is pursuing her studies in Nursing at the University of the Incarnate Word to receive her Bachelor’s in Science of Nursing. She also imparts her knowledge and love of dance by teaching Flamenco and Folklorico at Saint Mary’s Hall.
