Fiesta Noche del Rio is performed at the historic Arneson River Theatre — a beautiful, open-air venue located right on the River Walk. While the setting is iconic, it also means we’re at the mercy of Texas’ famously unpredictable summer weather. Before the ShowWe closely monitor weather conditions throughout the day. If we experience:
Heavy rain
Lightning in the area
Dangerous wind conditions
...the show will typically be called off by 7:30 PM for the safety of our cast, crew, and guests. If that happens, ticket holders will have three options:
Attend another performance later in the season — your ticket will be honored at the gate.
Request a refund at the box office.
Consider it a donation to our nonprofit arts organization — and thank you for supporting the arts in San Antonio!
If It Rains During the ShowWe understand how disappointing it can be when rain begins mid-performance. If light rain begins once the show is underway, we may pause briefly or continue depending on conditions. However, if lightning, strong winds, or heavy downpours develop, we will make a real-time decision based on what is safest for our performers and guests.
If the show is canceled before intermission, the same options listed above apply (reschedule, refund, or donate).
If the show has already passed intermission, we will consider the performance fulfilled, and no refunds will be issued.
Where does the money go?
