Kaylee MejiaDancer - 2024, 2025
Understudy/Swing - 2023 Kaylee Mejia is thrilled to return for her 3rd season as a dancer with Fiesta Noche del Rio. She began dancing at the age of 4, training in ballet, jazz, and hip hop, and added Ballet Folklorico at the age of 5 while studying at the San Antonio School for the Performing Arts. She now dances with Alamo City Arts and continues to expand her impressive performance résumé.
Her first production was The Nutcracker, and she has been part of that cast for 9 seasons. She has also performed in Lepidoptera, Peter and the Wolf, La Jolie Jardin, and has danced in the Ford Holiday River Parade for 3 years. Kaylee is currently a member of the corps de ballet with the Alamo City Dance Company and will be performing in Peter and the Wolf and Little Red Riding Hood this spring. In early 2025, Kaylee competed in the STC State Folklorico Competition, placing 3rd in Solo Contemporary and earning 1st place in Folklorico Duet with her fellow cast mate, Veronica Takach. Outside of dance, Kaylee is a member of the National Honor Society and stays busy with her school’s choir and dance team. She hopes to continue dancing through college and pursue opportunities as a professional dancer. Director’s Note: Kaylee didn’t turn in a bio, but she has beaten Spider-Man in a dance battle and would love to tell you all about it. Just ask her. Seriously. |
